West Yorkshire Beertickers?

Another screening in Yorkshire... "Done" as one wrinkly celeb chef would say.
So last night was our first public screening outside Sheffield. And what a blast it was too. This screening was organised by the editor, Jay Rozanski, a proud Otley boy who wanted to spread the gospel of beerticking to his fellow Otle'ians. Special guest on the evening was non other than Greg Mulholland MP, and before you think we've all gone party political... he's the Chair of the All Party Save the Pub Group - and Otley is within his constituency so it was what we call an absolute 'no-brainer'.
The night kicked off with an introduction from Greg, and without a hint of rhetoric, he proudly introduced our film.
Now, this is the sixth-millionth time I've seen the film so I planned to spend the next 72 minutes outside... but I couldn't.
It's amazing how something you spend so much time on can never feel finished. Needless to say I was totally spellbound, not by the film - of course it is great but I'm biased. No, I sat for 72 minutes and monitored the sound mix, the shot selection, the narration, the characters, the pace and tempo and even my own performance and broad yorkshire accent. The latter I am very proud of, but the former items became a list of things I'd like to tweek. So for all those watching (we pretty much filled the Otley Courthouse by the way), I'm sorry if my fidgeting was off-putting.
Anyway, all in all a great night and bettered only by the awareness it created for the Otley Pub Group. Barry Tomlinson, a local pub landlord treated us to a mini-ale pub crawl, and good times were had by all - and I even managed to tick a few more beers. A particular favourite was Goose Eye's Chinook. Lovely.
Keep your eye out for the video highlights which we'll be editing together and posting here, on facebook.com/beertickersfilm and our youtube channel.
That's all for now folks, keep ticking!
Phil
(Thanks to all who made the event possible and in particular to Greg Mulholland MP who said lots of nice things about the film -watch this space)
